Caddo, is a town in Lousiana and has a shortage of qualified teachers. So they are looking to the Philippines for teachers. What do you think? Is this shortage a nationwide concern? Watch the video (from the Webmaster...). "Filipino Teachers to Ease Shortage in Caddo" "The Caddo school district has come up with a solution to the current teacher shortage. They are hiring teachers from The Philippines. According to the school board, the district is struggling to fill positions for math, science, special education, and even English teachers. The Filipino teachers are well qualified, some having Masters Degrees and PHD's, but some people are concerned with the situation. Some feel qualified teachers looking for transfers and recent graduates are being overlooked in the process." [Click here..] to watch the video; courtesy of arkalatexhompeage.com |
